Milan Malpensa Airport began commercial operations in 1948 after previously being used for both general and military aviation. Over the years, the airport underwent various expansions and continuous development. In 1998, the Italian airline Alitalia relocated its main hub from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Milan Malpensa. Presently, the airport accommodates over 26 million passengers annually, with approximately 187.000 aircraft movements. It serves airlines such as easyJet, Neos, Ryanair, and others, offering destinations including New York, London, and Amsterdam.
