Chudoba Design Releases Burgas Airport

Chudoba Design has released its rendition of Burgas Airport (LBBG) for X-Plane 11, shipping with various features and inclusions to make this airport the best it can be. Burgas is the second-largest airport in the country, serving approximately 3.2 million passengers who passed through the airport in 2018. Today’s release of Burgas arrives just three months after Chudoba’s landmark release of Prague Airport for X-Plane 11.

Burgas Airport, which is located in the country of Bulgaria, has a history that dates back to 1927 when the airfield was first built to provide a transportation hub for tourists to visit resorts along the Black Sea. What really let the airport become popular was in 1937 when the French company CIDNA (which was then later absorbed into Air France) signed a contract with the Bulgarian Government to build a radio station in the small town of Burgas, Bulgaria. In 1947, Balkan Bulgarian Airlines began services out of Burgas, Sofia, and Plovdiv, using its first aircraft in the fleet, the Junkers Ju 82/3m.

Chudoba has included a small yet conclusive feature list that includes custom buildings with PBR textures and night textures for the terminal buildings. Custom-made PBR ground-poly and curved ground-polygons have also been used to provide more realistic ground textures. Custom ortho and meshes are another technology used to provide detailed terrain and accurate-looking ground textures.

A complete feature list has been provided:

  • custom buildings with PBR textures
  • night texture for terminal
  • accurate custom PBR ground-poly
  • curved ground poly
  • custom orthophoto
  • custom mesh
  • Ortho4XP compatibility

You can find Chudoba Designs’ rendition of Burgas Airport on the developer’s website for 299.00 CZK, or you can find it on simMarket for 8.99 Euros (excluding any applicable sales taxes).

If you are interested in Chudoba’s full catalog of products, these can all be found on simMarket.
