Aerosoft’s Mathijs Kok has taken to the group’s forum to share yet more progress images on the company’s first aircraft project for Microsoft Flight Simulator: the CRJ.
It was revealed only last week that the CRJ family will be split into two parts, with the -550 and -700 variants featuring in the base package at €42.00 and an expansion pack with the -900/-1000 variants selling at an additional €16.75.
Kok mentioned in the same post that the CRJ will only be sold on their own store and the Microsoft Marketplace.

Moving forward to today, the team have continued their drip-feeding of information with a modelling showcase courtesy of developer Stefan.
“This weekend the door animation finally worked as it should. Via the EFB you can select to have the railings up (as shown) or down to dock to a gate.”

Aerosoft’s head also praises Microsoft Flight Simulator’s use of decals, using the example of a 10cm by 3cm fastener on the CRJ’s nose – up close, the ‘PRESS’ lettering is still clearly visible.
“Well here it is and that’s a 10 by 3 cm fastener. With readable text on it. That’s the magic of decals, the resolution of the aircraft textures simply means nothing in MFS,” says Kok.
