A co-operative effort between Sim-Wings, Aerosoft and Windsock Simulations, Ibiza XP has finally been given a release date, after “final” screenshots were released three weeks ago.
The Spanish island first graced the headlines in January 2020, with the developer claiming that 95% of the airfield had been completed, with ortho work and cityscape taking up the remaining time.

This was predicted to take some time, as Sim-Wings’ original Prepar3D scenery, released in May 2018, coats the whole island with custom autogen and buildings.
Today’s release date news was announced via Windsock Simulations’ Facebook page, prefaced with a personal message to stay safe during the ongoing global pandemic.
Head developer Emma Bentley said “we want today to announce the release date of Ibiza by Aerosoft / Windsock / Sim-Wings is… 23rd April.”
“It will be available on all the stores you would normally know and love within a few days, but immediately on the Aerosoft webstore. Enjoy!”

Windsock Simulations’ previous work includes Malaga, Milan-Malpensa and Milan-Bergamo – conversions of the respective versions from Sim-Wings, David Rosenfield FSX and Tailstrike Designs. View their previous scenery, Malaga XP, in a previous article.
