A new addition to the Orbx line of products, Orbx have announced today ‘Great Britain Central’ for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is a brand new product line, originally mentioned in the yearly roadmap back in April.
This new set of products is similar to the TrueEarth style seen for X-Plane and Prepar3D, whereby they focus on a region of Earth, and give it the ‘Orbx treatment’. The north of England is the first to receive this attention, with the entirety of northern Wales, reaching all the way up to the English-Scottish border, with every major point of interest receiving a custom object.

These point of interests include major landmark structures scattered throughout the region, including but not limited to: uniquely modelled lighthouses and piers, stadiums, famous historical locations such as castles, manor houses and ruins, infrastructure based landmark such as VFR reference points and bridges, along with churches, cathedrals, and military installations such as bases, radomes, and masts.

Orbx also said that, in addition to the individual landmarks, they are also focusing specifically on 7 areas, giving each place a unique look and feel. These places are:
- Manchester
- Liverpool
- Leeds
- Media City, Salford
- Sheffield
- Blackpool
- Newcastle
In total, the coverage of these cities and the region throughout would accumulate around 500 new POIs that will be included in Great Britain Central. No full list was provided, however a google earth screenshot of all landmarks can be seen on the forum post.

No price was given for the product, however Orbx did say that it would release this Sunday. Check the original announcement thread for more pictures. To keep up to date with any future Orbx releases, you can join the Threshold Discord Server
