Axonos has announced their jump to Palm Springs to bring users a visual rendition of Palm Springs International Airport (KPSP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Offering a good recreation of the airport for virtual simmers based within the Golden State.

The Airport has an uneventful history with various military backgrounds since 1939 and ended military operations in 1946. About 15 years later, the City of Palm Springs purchased the land in 1961 and converted the space into Palm Springs Municipal Airport. It only maintains the status of an “International Airport” as the routes that are linked to PSP have preclearance facilities. The most recent terminal construction project was the Sonny Bono Concourse which pays tribute to the late congressmen, mayor of Palm Springs, and singer.
Axonos is a growing name in the flight simulation space, headed by Shawn Cheah, the collective started under the name JustAsia, converting Asian sceneries from FSX/P3D developers. The rename and new direction propelled the team to work on their in-house projects which culminated into today’s latest project in their expansion to MSFS development. The team promises an accurate replica with high-quality modeling and texturing, and photo-realistic ground texturing. As of now, Axonos has not released a feature list of what will be included in the airport when it ships out.

Today, Axonos did announce that December 12th is when the scenery will be shipped out to stores and will sell for $17.00 USD. If you are interested in purchasing this scenery when it comes out, discovering other products, or check out more images by Axonos, you can find their catalog on their gumroad webpage.
