Just yesterday, Microsoft Flight Simulator scenery developer TDM Design, announced Alicante Airport as the next airport to join their increasingly long list of airports following the release of Airport A Coruña in late January 2021. This will be the 4th airport released by the group.
With the caption that the scenery will “be added to our range of first-class airports”, it points to the incredible detail that the scenery has been modeled to. Everything from the interesting design of the airport’s control tower to the fences and guardrails scattered around the field has been modeled with detail and the work shows in the images provided on the groups Facebook page.

The real airport serves the Spanish city of the same name, and is – as of 2019 – the fifth-busiest airport in Spain. Home to Spanish carriers Air Nostrum, Vueling and a hub for Norwegian Air Shuttle, and Ryanair, being one of the top 50 busiest airports in Europe, the airport sees passenger traffic upwards of 15 million in 2019, beating its own yearly record since 2013.

The developer has decided not to share information on pricing, the release date, or a possible discount for current customers, though the scenery seems to be near the end of development. You can check out the original post on the groups Facebook Page for more information.
