Preview: VSKYLABS XC-47C

After a busy week a VSKYLABS, the team have one more trick up their sleeve. In a Facebook post this morning, they detailed an upcoming update to their existing DC-3/C-47 Flying Lab Project. The planned update will add an XC-47C variant to the base package.

The XC-47C is an amphibious C-47 aircraft fitted with floats, and the aircraft also has extendable landing gear allowing for land and sea operations.

VSKYLABS said in a Facebook post that:

The XC-47C will be added to the base package, which will include two variants from that moment. Floats modeling to completion and flight dynamics evaluations are still under development, and having a nice progress. Cockpit: at first, cockpit will be the same as in the initial DC-3/C-47 variant v2.5e. There is an ***extensive development plan*** for the interiors, which is including a new PBR-textures-layer for the cockpits, which will be executed for the future v3.0 update. Wow…it seems that the development plan for this exciting project has just begun!

Not mentioned in the Facebook post, but on the product page, VSKYLABS have outlined intent to refine flight dynamics, 3D model/texture works and add an FMOD sound pack to the DC-3.

No release date has been announced yet, but you can get your hands on the VSKYLABS DC-3 for $24.99 here.
