Working Title Releases Citation CJ4 v0.10.1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Version 0.10.0 and its subsequent hotfix v0.10.1 have hit GitHub over the past 24 hours, bringing a number of changes to navigation systems in the Cessna Citation CJ4.

“This release brings even more navigation features and accuracy to the CJ4, and we’re excited to deliver it!” The developer wrote. “Version 0.10.0 continues our Open Beta series, and as such you may find issues while flying the aircraft.”

They ask users that find issues with the aircraft to kindly report them via the GitHub issues tracker which can be found here.

A key feature of this update is the addition of missed approach functionality for the aircraft, allowing users to now properly execute the published missed approach procedure in the event of a go-around.

Vertical navigation has also seen a slight rework, with descent paths now smoother and functionality around constraints further improved with ‘vertical direct to’ now implemented.

Here’s a shortened list of changes brought with v0.10.0:

  • Missed approaches
  • Mandatory hold legs from navdata
  • Revamped VNAV with VNAV Path Smoothing and Vertical Direct-To
  • FMS/PFD/MFD message system
  • Custom ILS guidance
  • Ability to arm LNV, APPR LOC, and APPR LNV modes
  • Automatic NAV-to-NAV transfers
  • Relative terrain map
  • External lighting changes

The developer provided a full change list – which is too large to fit in this article – alongside the above summary. You can find it here.

Shortly after the release of v0.10.0, a hotfix was released to fix ‘pressing issues we did not catch during our QA.’ Thus the current version of the Working Title CJ4 is now version 0.10.1.
