Simulación Extrema Releases El Chaltén Aeroclub for MSFS 2024
Simulación Extrema has recently released El Chaltén Aeroclub (LAD 5138) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing a small but vital Patagonian airfield to the sim.
Set beneath the towering Andes and the iconic Mount Fitz Roy, the gravel-and-dirt strip serves as a key link for tourism, medical flights, training, and firefighting operations in Argentina’s trekking capital.
The scenery features hand-crafted 3D models of the aeroclub facilities, custom runway and apron textures, a detailed Mount Fitz Roy model, and static local wildlife, such as guanacos and rheas.
Four parking positions are included, with one near runway 27 set up to simulate firefighting water-loading operations, reflecting the field’s real-world role during forest fire season.
