Following a long period of silence regarding their premiere scenery product, Aviotek have issued a small update for their rendition of Dubai International Airport.
The scenery was released in late 2018, though this is the first time the airport has seen an update, despite mixed community reaction to the release.

Provided to Threshold by a reader, the change list for v1.1 encompasses only two lines, with one new feature and one bugfix. Scenery Animation Manager jetways are now active in the scenery, replacing the apparent lack of Autogate functionality in the base package.
Additionally, an unintended bug regarding overlapping approach lighting has been patched this update.

Dubai Airport by Aviotek Simulation Software also includes a simple rendition of the city’s skyline, including the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa – and a local skydiving company’s airstrip.
The feature list is as follows:
- Highly detailed rendition of Dubai International Airport
- Photoreal scenery provided
- Detailed terminal and city buildings
- X-Plane 11 HDR Lights
- Airport vehicle movements
- Custom mesh for the area included
You can purchase Aviotek Simulation Software’s Dubai Airport for $24.95 USD from X-Aviation.
