Aerosoft Releases Cologne/Bonn Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Yesterday, Aerosoft released their latest product for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Cologne/Bonn Airport.

Already available for other flight simulators, Cologne for MSFS sees Aerosoft continuing to rapidly expand their selection of products available for the new simulator.

The airport itself is described by Aerosoft as Germany’s seventh busiest and serves as a major cargo hub for the area, on top of the passenger traffic.

Additionally, the airport is in operation at all hours of day with its two runways.

Aerosoft has worked on Cologne with the following features:

  • Features a highly accurate recreation of Cologne Bonn Airport (EDDK, CGN)
  • Highly detailed models of airport terminals, hangars, buildings and other airport facilities
  • Accurate taxiway, apron and stands layout
  • Custom aerial image covering the airport bounds and close vicinity
  • Accurate terrain and runway profile
  • Interior Terminal models included
  • Photorealistic building and ground textures
  • Custom animated jetway models
  • Highly detailed ground service equipment and other clutter objects
  • Up to date runway, taxiway and stand layouts
  • Custom taxiway signage
  • Custom windsock model
  • Custom taxiway and runway guard lighting effects
  • Realistic night time dynamic lighting

The product is priced at €18.10 / US $21.59 (incl. 20% VAT) and can be purchased through Aerosoft’s website.

Only a couple of days ago, the simulation giant released East Frisia Islands for the same simulator.

Furthermore, Threshold interviewed Aerosoft’s Mathjis Kok earlier this week in episode 27 of our podcast Inflight.

Mr Kok talks about his personal life and how he got into flight simulation, as well as offering information about the CRJ Aerosoft is developing for MSFS.
