Burning Blue Design Releases Bodmin Airfield for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Fairly new developer Burning Blue Design has recently released their Bodmin Airfield for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the developer may be up and coming but they have not hesitated to contribute a hefty amount of scenery so far into the community, featuring five other notable scenery’s that can be bought on their website.

The developer has attached a fairly hefty list of features, some notable, and some more generally seen throughout most payware sceneries in the community;

  • Over 30 custom 3D objects have been created exclusively for Bodmin airfield, each with full Physical Based Rendering (PBR) textures.
  • Realistic dirt, grime, dust and rust can be seen exactly where they should be, with on-site visits carried out by the team.
  • Custom runway terraforming.
  • High-resolution colour corrected ground textures.
  • Working custom Signal Square and Windsocks.
  • Control tower and cafe interiors.
  • Open hangar parking spot.
  • Dynamic scenery objects, which change realistically depending on the time of day.
  • Custom aircraft have been included around Bodmin to reflect actual aircraft found at the airfield:
  •      Cessna 172 Skyhawk (G-EGLA – Bodmin Airfield Flight Training)
  •      Ikarus C42 (G-CIFZ – Air Cornwall Flight School)
  • Correct AI pattern procedures and accurate taxiway placement.

Nonetheless, the developers feature some very neat and unique features to accompany the regular’s.

Bodmin Airfield is a small airfield located 3.5km Northeast of Bodmin, England – Featuring two runways, spanning 1,600ft and 2000, both grass.

The airport is also home to various flying clubs, also one including a webcam which is viewable 24/7 here.
