Orbx Releases Berlin-Tegel (EDDT) for X-Plane 11

X-Plane developer Gaya Simulations has recently released its rendition of Berlin-Tegel Airport. According to the developers, the scenery, built from ground up for X-Plane 11, is “the most compelling and realistic recreation of the airport on the market.”

Developers of Gaya Simulations have fully utilized primary sources such documents and images to recreate the historical airport. The final product includes detaily modeled buildings, satellite imagery around the airport, and custom made lightings.

Berlin-Tegel Airport, opened in 1948, is located in western Berlin. It used to be the hub for EasyJet, Eurowings, and the now bankrupt Berlin Airlines. It has served some 20 million passengers last year alone. With the opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport, Berlin-Tegel Airport is set to cease operation on November 8th 2020.

The scenery can be purchased on OrbxDirect for $25.00. In addition, P3D and MFS versions are planned for release in the near future.
