The world is often unkind to new talent and new creations. While the community trump the Big One for delivering the goods, its the smaller teams that put passion before all else to their work, it’s that kind of new, that we need to notice and support. The new needs friends. Last night, we’ve received something new, an extraordinary series of images from a singularly unexpected source: Karl from PropStrike Studios has sent us a few breathtaking examples of nature photography in X-Plane, along with few original shots of their design and development process. The subject in the images are none other than their stunning painstakingly crafted Quatam River scenery, crafted to perfection.
PropStrike is one of the newest team of developers joining the scenery bandwagon, and looking at their presentation of how they produce their work, this looks to be another developer driven by the fire within to challenge what people think about scenery.

One of the highlights of PropStrike’s design work is the detailed and object based vegetation, trees bloom with every leaf textured and every branch modelled. Placement of the clutter was carefully considered, and the experience as a whole is one where you’re immersed into screen as if you’re there. It’s VR, without the VR.
