As part of Gaya’s announcement weekend, the developer has just announced that it is developing Florence-Peretola Airport (LIRQ) for X-Plane 11, MSFS and Prepar3D.

The airport services the city of Florence, Tuscany’s capital and is the region’s second-biggest airport after Pisa. Opened in late 1930’ the airport now has a 1,750 meters runway that can accommodate most medium-hauliers and in 2018, the airport saw over 2,700,000 passengers go through its gates.

Gaya claims to have captured the spirit of the area that will faithfully be represented in the final product. In the previews posted on Facebook by the developer, multiple buildings can be noticed including hangar, terminal and control tower. As of now, the project seems to be at an advanced stage. The developer described the airport as a beautiful destination for flight simmers:
“With stunning surroundings, an incredibly challenging approach, a very short runway and loads of scheduled flights to interesting European Destinations, this will be an incredible addition to your library!”

This announcement comes right after Tegel’s, check out our article about it. Threshold will continue to cover Gaya’s release weekend, monitor our website tomorrow for another surprise.
