Skyline Simulations’ Long Beach Airport for MSFS Is Out!

Without much information, Skyline Simulations has released their reproduction of Long Beach Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator! There is not much to go on although a short airport description and a feature list supplied in the Product Page.

The real airport, also known as Daugherty Beach, serves the area of the same name, as part of the Greater Los Angeles region in California. It’s the 10th busiest airport in California, serving 1.4 million passengers annually in 2008, the airports close proximity to the city’s main international gateway (LAX) means that the airport serves primarily domestic, freight, military and general aviation activity.

Long Beach is also home to a lot of production activity from major aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, with their acquired maintenance facilities (after the McDonnell Douglas merger) for the historic DC-9 and DC-10 aircraft, and the a production facility for the C-17 that was active through to 2015. Virgin Galactic establishes satellite launch vehicles at the Long Beach Airport and operates. Gulfstream also operates a completion/service centre at Long Beach.
