LatinVFR Release San Diego International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Inter-sim developers LatinVFR have released their second scenery for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, San Diego Int’l Airport. They abruptly announced the release yesterday via Facebook along with information on the airport itself.

The scenery can be purchased from LatinVFR’s website for $15.99 and ships with various features, such as fully custom PBR ground textures, realistic lighting and custom models for the airport and San Diego city.

A full feature list was included by LatinVFR on their store page, which reads as follows:

  • Hand made and detailed PBR ground markings and textures according to the most recent airport situation
  • Realistic terminals, cargo buildings airport buildings using MSFS PBR materials.
  • Realistic airport lighting.
  • Taxiways, aprons, runways sloped using the native MSFS system.
  • Optimized for performance to be used on most types of systems.
  • Customized jetways
  • Downtown San Diego enhanced to include buildings with PBR materials and awesome realistic night lighting.
  • Landable USS Midway which is an aircraft carrier turned museum. Try landing on it!
  • Accurate airport gate/parking to current real world airport layout.

As well as that, previous owners of San Diego International Airport for Flight Simulator X and Prepar3d are eligible for a discount on the new version of the scenery; they can use the code ‘KSANMSFS’ on checkout for it to take effect.
