Carenado Releases Cessna C170B for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Multi-sim developer Carenado has recently released its newest product for Microsoft Flight Simulator – the Cessna C170B. The aircraft, sold only in the in-game marketplace, is an accurate reflection of its real-world counterpart.

According to Carenado’s website, the package includes both the regular and tundra versions of the aircraft, as well as six different liveries. Each aircraft features detailed models, realistic PBR textures, and digital stereo sounds.

  • Regular and Tundra models.
  • 6 liveries
  • Portable Garmin Aera GPS
  • KX 165 Nav/Com radio.
  • KT76A Transponder.
  • Cold and dark / Ready to taxi / Ready for takeoff start options.
  • Engine and wind sound effects when opening doors and windows.
  • Original HQ digital stereo sounds recorded directly from the real aircraft (engine, knobs, switches, buttons and different elements).
  • Realistic flight dynamics compared to the real airplane. Realistic weight and balance. Tested by several pilots for maximum accuracy.
  • Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials and textures.
  • PBR materials authored with industry-standard software used by the film and gaming industries.
  • Tablet interface for controlling static elements, pilots, fairings, opening doors, etc.; and starting options such as cold and dark and 

Currently, the C170B is only available for purchase in the simulator’s in-game marketplace for USD$15. Additionally, a preview trailer can be found on Youtube.
