Taking to the Land of the Midnight Sun, Orbx have announced their next mesh product for Microsoft Flight Simulator. “Using the same technique seen with our successful NZ Mesh and free Iceland Mesh products, Alaska Mesh utilises the best available US government elevation data for Alaska, with up to 5m resolution”, they state on their forums.
The product is fully self-contained, and does not make changes to any default files. According to Orbx, there is virtually no noticeable performance impact, and “each LOD is consistent without any blurring and minimal LOD morphing”.

Alaska is famous for its mountains, forests, spectacular glaciers, rivers, tundra and more, making it a very exciting location to fly around.
Orbx have included previews of the Aleutian Islands, Denali National Park, Glacier Bay and Brooks Range, some of which can be seen below.

As of now, no release date nor price has been confirmed by Orbx, however you can find more images of the product on their forums.
