Developer Verticalsim Studios has released their first scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator today, that being Plant City Municipal, located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
The previously X-Plane-only developer was one of the first to speak up about Microsoft Flight Simulator’s Software Development Kit, slamming it for a lack of functionality and the high bar of entry, something which has now been addressed.
One can assume that a number of the complaints Verticalsim made were brought about during the development of this scenery.
Being that it is a test of the waters for the scenery-maker, Plant City Municipal has been priced at just $5.49 USD, this despite the use of PBR building facades and 4K ground textures.

- Iconic objects such as the water tower, FBO, etc.
- 4K PBR buildings with HDR lights
- 4K ground texture work that blends with surrounding areas
- Proper AI taxiway pathing
- Free future updates
