WF Scenery Releases Shanghai Pudong for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Shortly after publishing a set of fresh images of the main airport serving Shanghai, the team has now released their reproduction of Shanghai Pudong International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Shanghai Pudong, being one of the two airports centralised near Shanghai, is one of China’s busiest airports – featuring 4 parallel runways that serves the congested, heavily trafficked region of the Yangtze Delta. Pudong sees nearly 36 million passengers a year, providing 104 airlines over 200 destinations internationally. The other mainsirport servingShanghai – Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport mainly serves domestic and regional flights in East Asia.

WF Sceneries’ work on Pudong is nothing short of spectacular, the entire airfield features detailed modelling and PBR texturing, taking advantage of MSFS’s rendering engine, and to put a bit of liveliness to the scene, the airport’s people mover, a monorail, is also animated to do its rounds across the terminals.

Features provided by the developer are provided below:

  • PBR Textures
  • Animated Jetways
  • Dynamic Lights
  • Manually planned vehicles in the airport
  • Real Ground Markings
  • Animated Maglev Train

The airport can be purchased on SimMarket for EUR 23.90 here. If you previously purchased the same airport made for Prepar3d versions 4.5 to v5 at simMarket, you are entitled to the special upgrade price of EUR 12.00.
