The VSKYLABS DC-3/C-47 Flying Lab Project version 2.7b1 was just released!

This update is featuring a few exciting features! Currently, update for v2.7 is only applied to the X-Plane 11 version within the package. The X-Plane 10.51 aircraft version is still v2.5a, but will be updated in the near future to the v2.7 as well.

OK..back to the exiting new features!:

First…is the introduction of the EDO-78 equipped, amphibian variant which allows land and sea operations!

Second…is the icing visualization feature, which will represent icing conditions according to X-Plane’s icing simulation status. This will apply also to windshield icing.

Third…is the additional Deicing wing boots system which will allow to use the Deicing boots while flying.

Fourth…is the introduction to damage visualization, with an initial and experimental visualization of exceeding Vne, over-g, flaps over speed and propeller seizure damage.

Fifth…is the addition of the STMA AutoUpdater plugin, which will automatically notify for available updates every time the airplane is being loaded.

Sixth…is the existence of a Manual&Instructions folder within the project, which will contain the most updated online manual pages to be found in the VSKYLABS project pages, fixed in an A4, ready to print PDF file format. This folder will also get filled with useful stuff ‘handbook style’ materials over time, making your project even more valuable!

Thank you for flying VSKYLABS 🙂

Looks to be a very substantial update. You can find more information at the VSKYLABS website here, or find their Facebook page here.
