VerticalSim released their rendition of Omaha International Airport also known as Omaha-Eppley Airfield for X-Plane 11. The developer has been making strides in the MSFS world and has recently returned back to their grassroots in X-Plane with the recent major release of Baltimore Pro, after a few months of various teasers from their Discord server, Andrew M. announced yesterday morning that his scenery of Omaha International will be released the following day. Following that announcement, as expected, Andrew sent out an announcement on his Discord server that Omaha is available for purchase.
The real airport is situated in the city of the same name, in state of Nebraska and is one of the only major International airports in the Mid-West. Constructed in 1925, Eppley Field went through various trials before seeing any major carrier traffic until 1957, United Airlines runs about 42 scheduled flights out of the now named Eppley Municipal Airport.

VerticalSim has provided a short and run-off-the-mill feature list, the scenery incorporates some major landmarks around the vicinity of the airport in addition to the highly detailed airport rendition, across all models and assets, they’re treated with high resolution 4K texturing authored in PBR. The airport itself is built to the current layout and design, grounded by colour corrected orthoimagery. The entire airport is brought to life with animated vehicle traffic through the Groundtraffic plugin, and the terminals make use of SAM to power their animated jetways. Here is the original feature list:
- Some VFR landmarks
- 4k UHD Texturing with PBR
- 2021 Airport Layout
- Animated Car Traffic (via Groundtraffic plugin)
- Color Graded Satellite Imagery
- SAM Jetways

The rest appears self explanatory, with an asking price of $22.00 USD, it sits in line with the team’s other recent releases on their website. You can also stay up to date with the latest updates from VerticalSim by joining their Discord server.
